Winter in Paris is wrapped in a veil of grey.
Then, for a brief moment, a single ray of light pierces through the clouds—

These earrings are inspired by that fleeting instant when the sun slips through the Parisian clouds.
A blue droplet that holds the golden light of the sun, paired with softly glowing glass, shines quietly yet warmly against the stillness.

【About the vintage materials】
The parts used in these earrings were once pieces of glass that adorned antique chandeliers.
Even after many decades, they retain a clear, luminous glow—
quietly preserving the artisans’ meticulous craftsmanship and aesthetic sensibility from the time they were made.

The blue teardrop glass is crafted using Pâte de verre,
a French glassmaking technique from the late 19th to early 20th century.
Finely ground glass is pressed into a mold and fired,
a delicate method that flourished during the Art Nouveau era
and is still used today in fine art glass and jewelry.

In 19th-century French workshops, broken glass and leftover fragments were known as groisil.
Rather than being discarded, they were melted down and given new life in the hands of skilled artisans.
This particular piece was created by re-melting such fragments—
born from the Pâte de verre process and revived into a new form.

Two shades overlap within the glass: a soft, pale blue and a deeper, serene navy.
The pale blue glows like the light of early morning,
while the deeper blue shines like a quiet ocean at night.
Inside, tiny golden particles drift as though suspended in water,
glistening subtly with each movement of light.

Carrying layers of history and color, this jewel holds both transparency and depth—
as if it gently contains the passage of time itself.
